Neighbors Caring for Neighbors Sebastian River Medical Center opened its doors on Feb. 17, 1974, and began serving the residents of Indian River and Brevard Counties. This facility has the luxury of being old enough to be established in the community while being young enough to offer the latest technology and services available in the health-care field.
Our ideal is wrapped up in our mission statement: "Sebastian River Medical Center is committed to achieving the highest level of measurable quality and efficiency in the delivery of health-care services that are responsive to the needs and values of our patients, physicians, employees and visitors." Sebastian River Medical Center's Executive Director Kathy Burke has an important goal: to make SRMC the hospital of choice for patients, physicians and healthcare workers in Indian River and South Brevard counties. New services and equipment are continuously being added to the hospital to make sure SRMC is able to meet the health-care needs of the Sebastian River area.
